Since 1986
‘Segun Olorunfemi is a classically trained artist from Ibadan, Nigeria. Listed in “Who’s Who of Nigerian Art” published by Smithsonian Institute, Washington DC. He has over 36 years of experience in various art media such as Yarn Painting, Sand Painting, Linoleum Block Print on Fabric, Batik on Fabric and Batik on rice paper, Oil Painting and Graphics. He also has 27 years of experience working with people with disabilities through the arts.
He served as Affiliate Director of VSA arts organization in Nigeria, representing and advocating for people with disabilities. VSA arts is an international organization based in Washington DC. As a Roster Artist – (Art In Education) New Hampshire State Council on the Arts, he teaches workshops on African arts and culture in schools and teaches teachers the technique of Batik and Sand painting. He has a B.Sc. degree in Human Services from Springfield College, Massachusetts, and a Masters of Arts in Teaching (MAT), at Plymouth State University.
